Cougar Ki Martial Arts was formed and founded by Chief Instructor, Sensei Daniel Lancaster (4th Dan) on the 29th, September 2011. Since then the club has grown in numbers and the training and teachings have developed at a FANTASTIC rate.

Daniel Sensei, has been training in and around Martial Arts for over 25 Years. He started his training at the young age of 7 and has taken part in numerous tournaments at regional, national and international level. His greatest achievements to date are winning a UK Championship, obtaining his 4th Dan Black Belt (Yondan Kuro Obi) and  achieving runner up in a World Cup Tournament in Australia.

Sensei Daniel Lancaster is a recognised instructor and registered with the English Karate Organisation (EKO), he is also a Recognised EKO National Coach. All of our students are licensed and registered with The English Karate Organisation (The EKO). In which the E.K.O is also a Member of The European Karate Organisation Governing Body. Cougar Ki Martial Arts IS! The only club in the area registered with The E.K.O.

Here at Cougar Ki Martial Arts, we teach and learn a mix of styles in the Karate Field all of which originated in Okinawa including Shotokan, Goju and aspects of Kempo. We also give our students opportunities to train within a variety of other styles and with other clubs through regular seminars, workshops and courses, and you can rest assured that ALL our Instructors are Fully Enhanced CRB Checked, and are First Aid Trained. We also Train in Abaniko Tres Puntas, A classical form of Philipino Arnes, (stick fighting) this is a growing style in the western world, and Daniel Sensei is very excited that we are part of promoting and helping this grow in the North West.

           We are a friendly club and rapidly growing but always have our students best interests at heart. At Cougar Ki Martial Arts (C.K.M.A) we are proud to offer a good friendly and welcoming training environment for the whole family to enjoy.

We welcome students from all walks of life, from the age of 4 Years old and up.

A small annual license fee payable to the EKO does apply.

There is also a one off Joining Fee for your LIFETIME Club Membership!!
